Construction Time with Daddy

As many of you know Ryan is working on a job in Fort Smith, Ark. They are repaving miles of a four lane highway. On this project Ryan is superintendent of paving because he is awesome like that. Of course Daddy likes to show off his big toys to Everett as much as possible. Everett now thinks it is his right to ride on every piece of equipment he sees.

Everett is One!

Everett turned 1 on September 15. He is such a loved little boy that he had TWO parties! The first in Wichita at Grandma Jenese's house and the second at home. Both parties had a similar construction theme.

Unfortunately on his actual birthday Everett came down with a fever so we had to post-pone his party to the following Sunday. He didn't seem to notice. We did get in a birthday meal at Fritz's and ice cream before the fever.

Pretty Baby

So it has been said Everett has beautiful hair.

It has also been said (by Ryan) that Everett and I have the same haircut.

Everett is going to keep this glorious head of hair until at least his First Birthday. Then we'll see.

*Note: Ryan did have blond hair as a baby that later turned dark. We'll see if Everett can hold onto this beautiful blond locks.

He Crawls!! (a month ago)

This is one of the posts meant just for me to remember dates. Thanks for your patience. :)

Everett began crawling around July 15. Here's a video of his achievement. (It's really large and I'm not sure how to scale it down on here. Any suggestions would be appreciated.)

Fan Fest 2012 - All Star Game

In July, Kansas City hosted the 2012 All Star Game. Other than Billy getting snubbed for the Home Run Derby it was a pretty awesome event. We caught most of it on TV, but we did checkout the Fan Fest in person. I'm glad Everett can say he attended part of the festivities.

Memorial Day Weekend 2012

So this is a little late, but I figure cute pictures don't have an expiration date.

For Memorial Day 2012 we made the short trek to Wichita. We spent a day swimming in Grandma Jenese's pool and a day in Harper, KS, where Ryan's uncle and cousins live. Everett got to meet some Mills relatives for the first time and loved it. He looks a lot like the Mills bunch so I think he felt at home right away. It was also his first time swimming and except for the chilly water also loved it.
